Seeds of Gold is a damn jam

 

Listening to Pink Lemonade this morning, god this album still rules so hard. Can’t wait for this band’s next album, they take their time but haven’t missed a step yet.

 

Easily my favorite song the record.

I like Pink Lemonade a lot- when it’s great it’s REALLY great! However, I think it’s just too unfocused. I always skip about half of the record cause I get bored and it feels like it drags on.

Neoprene, Brahmatron, Beckon Fire, Mauerbauertraurigkeit, Dinosaur, and “ピンク レモネード are specifically the ones I always skip over. I wish they replaced one of those songs with The Impeccable Beast. Such a jam and they left it off.... why??

Anyways- I really hope the new record is a little more toned down and focused.

 

I wanted to fall in Love with PL, and I do respect it, but it's one of those cases where I guess the band "matured" more than I could handle all at once. "Brahmatron" and "Technochrist" are jams, but it's been awhile since I listened because I skip most of the record.

First Temple is still the perfect balance between the fairly straightforward post-hardcore on the first EP and the more ambitious/eclectic approach they started tending toward later.

 

I tend to agree. Never gave Pink Lemonade nearly the same amount of play I gave First Temple or Penance and the Patience.

So bummed that the Protest the Hero tour sold out before CIM was announced AND they decided to play First Temple

 

I only started listening to them about a year ago, but I frickin adore First Temple. Kissing Cousins is stuck in my head every day.

 

First Temple might be the post-hardcore album to come out of that "scene".

I’m glad to see so much love for this band on here. I’ve adored them for years.

 

Got to see them once (opening for Emery I believe) and they blew me away. "First Temple" is definitely one of those albums I go back to now and again and love it just as much as the first time I heard it.

 

I enjoy about half of Pink Lemonade (and that half is incredible) but for me, it's all about First Temple. I got the vinyl pressing of it they released last year and it sounds phenomenal.
