lmao them being on the same ticket with Artificial Brain, Car Bomb, Sawtooth Grin, and Thantifaxath makes no sense at all and i love it.
Them co-headlining with Car Bomb... alright. Car Bomb is one of my least favorite bands I've seen live. Opened for BTBAM last year.
Kind of wild how I somehow didn't overplay Better Way, because it keeps getting better (heh) each time I play through the album.
Better Way and Burning Heart by Dashboard are the two tracks my son requests to be played (twice or three times in a row) in the car on the way to daycare. It was an overplayed single but I never skip now that the album is out. So great.
I like plenty of things with odd time signatures and angular riffs, but they perform it with zero energy, at least the night I saw them. I'd check out a new album from them, but not because of what I heard that night.
Soft Hell's melodies hit all the perfect notes for me. That bridge is still such a satisfying build and release.
I feel like some bands in that mold end up boring AF live. I remember seeing Human Abstract back in ... 2008? They were really boring except for Vela Together We Await the Storm. For some reason, they completely found their energy and started playing more impassioned. It was the last song of the set.
I mean, good reason, that song rules but can't name another one of their songs off the top of my head, haha.
Yeah, the whole album was pretty fresh, but they seemed like they didn't care about the other 7 songs they played, lol. Vela is incredible though.
that fest lineup is awesome it inspired me to check out this band. on first contact I like this year's album very much. "keeper of the lake" rules.
Welcome! New album rules, spin that for a while. If you go backwards, just FYI, First Temple is like if The Mars Volta during the Deloused/Frances era decided to be catchy and have some semblance of song structure, and Pink Lemonade is extremely pysch rock influenced, and I personally don't think they sound similar.
So they are playing the same venue/same night as Caligula’s Horse, and I already have tickets to that one. Might try to double dip, but CHorse is a priority.
Due to some personal reasons, I won't be able make the Dallas, TX show on the 16th. That said, I'm hoping someone here (or someone you know) wants to go to the show this Friday FOR FREE (NO STRINGS ATTACHED)? PM if you are interested. Happy to send these TWO tickets over to you.
