kinda wildly good album especially for how much could've gone wrong, crazy how Malice is still as good as ever

hook on All Things Considered is the only thing that stuck out as bad first listen

 

I had fairly high expectations but this still blew them away. The back 1/3rd might not be as enjoyable to me as the first 2/3rds of the record, but it's still really freaking good.

 

So Be It blew my mind.

 

"So Be It" might be rap song of the year

 

Wild that it seems they've never had a Grammy nomination before, I imagine that'll change with this release

 

If I was in charge of this album's direction, I would've kept Pharrell on production and away from the hooks. It's silly, but his part in "Chains & Whips" almost ruins the song for me. It sounds like something I would hear in a clothing commercial.

I would have also pulled some more Griselda-adjacent features, but that might be more of a personal wish lol.

"So Far Ahead" is crazy once the beat drops, but that hook is so sickly sweet. Idk.

 

Yeah, Pharrell’s production is probably the best it’s been since The Neptunes split. But his hooks stink now.

 

Still trying to figure out what was supposed to be so incendiary about the Kendrick verse.

They pointed out "trump card" being a reference to Trump but it so clearly wasn't, it was just an excuse to keep Pusha and Kendrick apart because of the "optics" during the lawsuit

 

Did not realize the vinyl doesn’t have either version of “So Be It” on it.

Got my ticket to see them. This album is incredible and I have had it on loop

 

Sounds awesome over that beat, but the original beat is one of the best ever. Plus "Southern Hospitality"'s great too. Happy with the way things worked out.

 

Goddamn sometimes I think I could listen to a loop of that beat forever and be totally content. Still sick as hell.

Wackboys 2 getting #1 over it is sad but so be it

 

It’s not shocking cus it’s Travis Scott but also a lot of the sales are from vinyl that happens to only have 7 of the 17 songs and it gets to count towards first week sales lol
