HOLY SHIT.. this is incredible.

 

My hype for this record just shot through the roof. I’m seriously impressed with how smooth and natural this transition sounds.

 

Yeah that song is so good. Been very hyped for the whole thing since I've heard it.

Love it so much. The verses sound way too close to bloc party but I’ll let it slide haha

Like in the last three weeks I’ve gotten very into this band and these singles are great so I’m pumped.

honestly I don't love their old sound either haha. I liked youth, and I liked the last one, but I don't revisit them much. I was hoping this would be the one to really grab my attention but these singles all just kinda bore me

Fair enough! These singles grab me more than a lot of their previous material tbh.

tigers jaw was very wooden when I saw them a few years ago

 

Tiger’s Jaw is a band that on paper I should probably be pretty down with. But every time they put out a record, I give it an earnest try and it does absolutely nothing for me. Very forgettable stuff imo

Glad I’m not the only one who feels like this about TJ. I have 3 friends who love them and they’re shocked that I can’t get into it lol

 

I'm not over the moon with these singles but I'm digging them! Excited to hear them in context of the whole record.

I feel the same way about Tigers Jaw, the vocals in particular are never as dynamic as I'd hope, like they're too restrained. I do really like spin though, June is one of my favourite songs.

I'm holding off on listening to these singles much because I'm super hyped for this album and I want to experience the whole thing.

What's the best track on AYP? For me, Medicine or In the Middle of It All, depends on the day.

 

I would say the best/favorite tracks are Medicine, Fever Days, I Forgive No One, and Flowerchild.

I personally hate that choir chant in Middle of It All lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
