This is way better than the singles let on for me, when they released Can't Take it Slow, I felt that might be the case. When I let you Down is the worst thing on here, by a margin too.

 

Vibing this hard today. I think EIGTH is the only Citizen album I'm not fond of. This one is a hit for me!

fucking hell, this might be just as good as LIYGW. was NOT expecting some of these moments.

really enjoyed this on two listens today. Huge fan of LIYGW. I remember enjoying EIGTH but haven’t spun it in a long time. Not sure I ever listened to Youth. And never even knew of As You Please until just now when I saw it on their Wikipedia.

Based on how much I enjoy this and the last album this band could seriously jump up my favorites list depending how the rest of their discography stacks up.

 

I was wrong. Damn computer speakers. This is great on some decent headphones.

 

Was always one foot in one foot out with these guys, but this album is my cup of tea. They nailed it. Love this direction for them. Immediately my favorite album from these guys.

 

Lay Low is my favorite track so far. Goddamn.

 

Had a fine first listen. Will give it more to see if it grows on me.

 

Definitely my least favourite album of theirs but it has some moments. They take a lot of cues from Angel Du$t on this

 

After a few more listens, this record is growing on me big time.

 

Second listen and it’s already growing on me, first three songs are bangers

 

Damn, the middle section of this record is the strongest section IMO.

Lay Low, Needs, Bad Company, and Dogs? Yeah. Top tier Ciz.

 

Thanks for sharing this. Mat’s one of my favorite musicians and I just realized I’ve never even heard him talk before. Lol I’d love if it he did this for his most recent solo album

 

this rocks. wish it had come out in the summer.

 

I was fortunate to have it since March and yea, it got the most spins from me in the summer ha. Good news is you’ll still have it for next summer!

 

Pretty obsessed with this, honestly. Feels like it’d be fun to pair with the Militarie Gun album. Think I’m going to be blasting this one for a while.

 

Options is such a cool gamble for them, and they nailed it.

 

This blows LIYGW out of the water and straight up might be one of their best releases.

It was bugging me but it finally clicked, certain parts remind me of Spoon.

 

Took a few listens but i'm into it. I think it lacks the variety of LIYGW but the hooks are undeniable
