Kinda fun, also kinda reminds me of the path Transit went down which is not good, but this band hasn't really missed and I appreciate them continuing to try new things, so I'm here for it

 

LIYGW has been easily my favorite stuff from these guys so I’m just hoping this new record is on par with that.

 

Also; Mat’s vocals sound different here on the verses right? Is it just me? Lol

 

Woah Rob Schnapf produced this record?! That’s pretty big. He’s done some stellar work with Elliot Smith, The Vines, Saves the Day, Joyce Manor, etc etc

Song is fine, but the video is really cool. I'm a sucker for those one-shot style with a bunch of moving parts.

Feels kind of bland after how great the last album was. Wish I was more into it

 

Pretty disappointed by this song, they were going in such a cool direction and this is just really mid. Not sure the scene needs another band playing boring power pop. Will be bummed if this is representative of the rest of the album.

After two listens, this is really good. Its definitely simple but I could see it fitting into the album REAL nice.

 

song is a grower for sure. didn't like it at first, but it's been on repeat for most of the day.

 

I really like this. It's a different sound for them but I'm excited to hear the whole album.

 

This thread got me to listen to Youth for the first time since 2017 (thanks last.fm). Pretty neat

trust me this song isn’t a great representation of the album, it’s chalk full of bangers and a lot of darker stuff! It almost reminds me of a more melodic turnstile at times!

 

That’s reassuring I figured that was the case.

 

Good to know. I’ve been pretty underwhelmed by this single which concerns me since their lead singles tend to be top of the pack on their records
