This thread is already up to 7 pages that's impressive since it was only started late last night. Where were all of you before lol
I stuck mostly to the pro wrestling thread, but would sometimes pop up in Brand New, a few other artists, and some other sports lol. I think I commented once or twice in the Ciz thread. Like I said last night, Ciz was one of the handful of bands that I kept caring about
The first time I saw Citizen they were an easy core band and opened for Balance and Composure in like 2009 and it's really funny to look back on their first EP. I just tried to find it and couldn't anywhere
Enjoyed this new song more then most of the last album, "Ring of Chain" is the freaking jam though. I'm glad this seems like a medium between their 2 previous albums.
DM'ed. It's their "easycore" (goddamn do I hate that term) release. Think Get Stoked On It-era The Wonder Years, or Four Year Strong. Definitely pop-punk, with breakdowns and gang vocals to make it sound "heavier", but probably completely unlike anything you've heard from them.
Thanks man been hoping to hear it one day. Ever since i knew about it on rym which other than chorus is the other site i spend all my time on Demo by Citizen Anyone else here on rym? If you are add me username SimpleSongs.
Just listened to EIGTH again. Love that album. Replace Ten with Silo or Nail and it would next level.
I was really into them when they put out Youth. And I saw them in 2014 and they killed it. I actually didn't even give EIGTH a listen until the middle of 2016 cause I sorta forgot about them. They really haven't put out anything I don't like. Mat Kerekes' solo project is great too.
I was super into Youth when it came out. The Greatest Generation tour with TWY, Fireworks, Citizen, Real Friends, and MoBo was one of my favorite shows when I was mainly into pop punk. EIGTH made me fall off a bit. Really like the new song though. Mat's solo stuff is great too.
That tour introduced me to Citizen and MoBo, and it was the first time I saw TWY headline, so I will always remember that night fondly.
As I'm going through the discography to get ready for this evenings show I realized that 'Silo' has never really gotten the proper love and plays from me. It's such a great song! I'm hoping to hear one other new song besides 'Jet' tonight. I'm sure they'll get 30-35 minutes and play around 7-8 songs. If they do another new song I'll try to get a good video and post it for everyone.
