I got one listen in of this, Medicine was a standout from previously unreleased tracks. This seems to balance well the catchiness of Youth with the experimentation of EIGTH.

 

How can anything be "easily" on a list if it hasn't even been out (at all) or for months. Digest art, people.

 

Production is fine. I want these bands to step away from Yip just to try something different.

 

Yup, that’s sort of how I feel, I liken yip a lot but I don’t really want any band to work with one producer

 

I think he's good at what he does, but yeah, I mean variety in art is great. I would love some of these bands to work different producers.

 

I think I'm nuts, listening to it on bandcamp it sounds way better to me than the leak.

This is super good to hear. I'm picking up the vinyl tomorrow so I've had my fingers crossed for the same result

I'm certainly not disputing that. But trying to put something on a top of all time list, or best ever, is a little trite and forced. I'm not sure when the time makes something like that "okay" to put on your favorite lists, I just think people rush into lust with something that hasn't even had the chance to fully engulf itself in you yet.

Listening to this for the first time!

 

I definitely enjoyed my first listen of this. There is a lot of good material here. I’ll need additional listens to sort out my feelings on the entire thing, but all of the singles plus Medicine, Discrete Routine, and You Are A Star were probably my biggest standouts.

 

Really good album, the perfect blend of Youth and EIGTH while still progressing their songwriting in new ways. While they overreached a bit with their ambition on EIGTH, I think they're really playing to their strengths here and it pays dividends.

 

I'm loving it so far and it was nice listening to only Jet and hearing everything else at once. ITMOIA is catchy as hell, As You Please and I Forgive No One were my other proper standouts I think.

What the hell was that noise on Discreet Routine by the way? I got caught off guard by it lmao

 

The first songs are fantastic, but the third kinda bored me. Excited to hear the rest tonight though.

 

This was just..eh. I liked Jet and Medicine, but overall this album does nothing for me. In the Middle of it All is not good at all to me, those vocals were just weird and completely out of place
