Lmao @ this conversation You Are A Star is an underrated jam on this, that chorus great. Love the second go round when Mat does the extended run on the "don't let me dooooooooown". Would've been cool if they had some alternate background vocals going on in there but I totally get that they wanted to keep it kinda low key until the end
I think they're all good, but you seem upset so I was just trying to talk to you about something you like.
The other vocal part that comes in at the end really reminds me of a brand new melody but I can’t think of which one
I like You Are a Star a lot, but I read in the press release that it had organ in it and I was kind of expecting something Motion Picture Soundtrack esque and it definitely isnt that, haha. Still cool, I just need to get used to it.
Was just coming into this thread to say that "You are a Star" is the shit haha. It's an early favorite for me.
I’d say that’s the most straight forward song on the album. But there’s some cool rhythmic stuff in there too.
I don't know how you could call Flowerchild a swing & a miss. Between Flowerchild and Ring of Chain, these guys know how to end an album.
Some people just don't jive with certain bands, there's some bands that just don't do it for me even though I can recognize they have talent. Not saying I have an issue with it, but I don't post in those threads because if I know I don't like something and I try it again and still don't like it, I don't really have anything to add to a thread.
Can't remember the name, but the closer on Youth is one of the best songs on that record too. That chorus gets stuck in my head all the time
I think he just wanted to give it a chance? I know I've listened to a ton of records by artists I didn't otherwise care for just to see if there was anything I was missing (see: every All Time Low album)
That guitar at 2:02 in discrete routine throws me for a loop every time, sounds like a kid screaming or something
