Oh wow, I didn't realize this was still a ways out. I've only listened once but it's far and away their best album, and that's coming from someone who didn't love EIGTH and was excited (but not necessarily dying) to hear this. Definitely marries the hooks of Youth with the intensity of EIGTH, but also experiments with a handful of new sounds. "Jet" is definitely the most traditional song here, the second half is particularly wild. I can't get enough of the song from the album trailer.

Damn I'm so excited for this record, this year is so insanely stacked

 

In the Middle of it All is up on spotify now. Listened once last night and no surprise, its great.

Not super sure why, but parts of it reminded me a bit of Taylor Swift.

 

New track is sweet

Man that song was an absolute banger, loved it

 

I love how the song sounds corny in the beginning, and then those chords come in and basically give the melody new meaning

 

Will Yip said on Twitter that this might be his favorite Citizen song that he has worked on. That sort of praise makes me want to wait until the album drops to check it out.

 

Song is great. Release seems far for two songs already out. This is the first thing that has actually interested my listening away from Science Fiction.

Gotta say, I wasn't sure if I really liked Jet, but hearing it back to back with In The Middle of It All really has me excited for this album.

I also like the way they cut out each track at the end. For a second I thought Apple Music had a probably downloading it or something

 

I thought EIGTH was a miss but these 2 songs are awesome. Excited for this.

 

wasn't digging Middle of It All at first...then Mat started singing and I was like fuck yeah. Still don't get the video though if someone wants to explain that to me haha

This song is fantastic. As someone said, the opening was having me really worried but once it kicked in I thought it was fantastic.
