From what I've got from all the podcasts I've listened to, they do have their new album recorded, I'm not sure but they possibly even wrote two albums worth of songs hahh, but scrapped some, I might be wrong - but I'm pretty sure Circa will release something when it's going to be ok to break out another touring cycle.

 

Yeah I feel like I heard Ant say at some point that they pretty scrapped an albums worth of songs and started again, unless I'm misremembering.

Honestly didn't think we'd be waiting this long for a follow up, I wonder how much the pandemic has played into that.

 

That's exactly what I remember. And I think another is ready as well, but don't know what stage - if it's mixed etc.

i think itd be cool if the new album has the kinda electronic and chill vibe theyve been laying down on the new safe camp sessions. that would be a welcome vibe from them for me and i think it feels right for them to progress.

 

I'd love an album from them that's barely even a "rock" record

 

agreed. ive wanted and half expected that since before BSN - they had quite a bit of clips they were posting around 2008 and 2009 that were a real departure from rock music.

 

man remember in pre-pandemic 2020 when we were supposed to get a Circa album AND a Saosin album in the same year

 

Yea I feel like I've heard the heavier or more aggressive style song iterations from them a bunch over their whole career, I'm not expecting it but a shift could open up a lot of avenues and sounds to play around with for them

 

Part of me hopes for a more honed in Juturna/OLG sound, but that's just bias as that's my favorite era of the band. Give me more noodling and jazz drumming.

 

Yeah from what it seemed like when they talked about the new material is that it might really be within a more chill vibe, probably some synths or something. I'm really, really curious!

Some weirdo tough guy was trying to shit on Elder Brother and get a rise out of Colin. He was courteous and patient, the dude kept going, and now Anthony for the first time ever has dragged someone’s ass all the way across Twitter and I love it. He deleted a few but you can still see some of it.

Well I saw some of that for Colin's artwork (don't know what was going on with Elder Brother over there), made me pretty upset people spend time on the web like that. Quite curious what had been there before that Anthony deleted later, seeing as what's left is still quite harsh - and for the good reason here.

Btw. that print by Colin was fascinating as usual, love his work!

...I think this is the first I've heard of there being a final version? Thought we only had the demo. Shit.

I'm confused, aren't these the final versions of those songs? Sounds exactly the same as the bandcamp versions.
