I might be wrong, but I think I saw somewhere that the 3xlp version comes with the stems. edit: this blog post says both 10 year edition vinyls come with a download for the stems. CIRCA SURVIVE ANNOUNCES 'ON LETTING GO’ TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR AND SPECIAL DELUXE EDITION VINYL & DIGITAL RELEASE - Equal Vision Records edit 2: kingdom leaks may or may not have the stems.............
Lol guess I should actually look into stuff before I post. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction tho!
I had the same thought at the show, haha. The inclusion of either b-side in place of the sole lackluster song on OLG, Carry Us Away would totally change the album though. They're so much heavier than the rest, at least live. CUA isn't a bad song, just not really important to the flow. Also CYETS is a controversial song but it's my one friends favorite CS track. That intro is totally sick, can't skip past it.
Haha, nah you're good. I actually didn't know there were stems until earlier today when I saw a reddit post about them. I'm really excited to hear those stems though. I'm messing with the Juturna ones right now. (btw, if you set "bonus track" (house of leaves) to just vocals and the overdub it sounds cool as shit.)
So the single LP pressing on merchnow comes with the stems too, just like Juturna? I gotta hear them, but not feeling spending all that cash for the 3xlp
Finally going back through Circa's discography a bunch over the next few days... I love all their stuff but their more indie-leaning and/or aggressive work has generally spoken to me the most. With that being said, my tentative ranking of their albums for now is: Blue Sky Noise > Descensus > On Letting Go > Juturna > Violent Waves Don't h8
I could hate for the Violent Waves slander... But having another person who loves Blue Sky Noise the most makes up for it.
I got the single LP through the VIP package and it came with a download card for the demos so maybe the stems are included? I'll get back to you on that
Like I said I'm re-listening to all the albums a bunch for the first time in a while haha, my ranking might move around a lot... will post if it changes!
I know haha! I'm happy I'm getting back into this band finally, it's been quite a while for whatever reason and they were a band I never quite "obsessed" over like some of my all-time favorites. I think that phase is gonna happen now.
It is gatefold! Very beautiful Weird that it says that it's the 10th anniversary edition on the spine tho lol
The Juturna pressing does too, so I'm fine with it. But I guess that one's actually different than the regular version so it makes more sense. But what doesn't make sense is not having the feedback from Oh, Hello go into Suspending Disbelief. And not having House of Leaves. Kills me every time ;_;
Ending Juturna on MMIM is just wrong. Should have just gone out and made it a double lp. But that might have hurt the triple lp sales maybe
