Saosin are Cove focused going forward.. I could MAYBE see AG doing Seven Years with them but I honestly dont expect him to play with them at all and I think after all these years and us getting him in Sao again for a time, I think it's for the best. The timelines are fixing. Cove in Sao, Anthony in Circa.
I’ve had a rough couple weeks due to grief. Haven’t listened to music like normal but I have found some comfort in Circa Survive’s reunion. I’ve listened through their discography a few times now but have played The Amulet the most. Particularly, Indra’s Net. The atmosphere of that song along with Anthony’s vocals is soothing. Even the lyrics I’ve found calming. It led me to research Indra’s Net further, and I see why I subconsciously bonded with this song at this time. I’d like to research it more but basically the net goes on in every direction with jewel’s at every spot where our threads cross. What I do helps to “shine” on others, and what others do helps “shine” on me. I’m not as articulate as I’d like to be right now, but it’s helped me feel less alone after this loss and still connected in some way in this universe.
Sorry to hear you're going through what you are. Whatever it is, I hope you find the means to carry on.
cool song. circa has helped through much over the years. also indra's net is a good example of the olg-esque songwriting y'all are attributing to the amulet.
indras net is an absolutely unbelievable song. up there with lazarus as a bside that clears their entire discog
been listening to a lot of juturna and on letting go since the announcement. i still don’t think they have a bad record but those two are definitely on another level
There are a few more interesting demos from that era that you may be able to find on youtube floating around.
im sure everyones seen them before but they put out a ton of studio videos back when they were recording BSN and a bunch of videos from their house months before that too. theres a bunch of nuggets in there that were never released including this song.
Yeah and stuff like "How It Goes" which was released as a AG Solo track on "Beautiful Things" but can be heard in this BSN making of video.
I predict roughly 25% Juturna, 25% OLG, 50% BSN for the festival. maybe 1 or 2 from the yip records, but I doubt it. For the Philly shows I predict something in the same vain as their "last show" at the ETID christmas party covid superspreader event. But maybe 15-20 songs instead of 10. 0:00 - Imposter Syndrome - (A Dream About Love) 4:13 - Holding Someone's Hair Back - (Juturna) 7:42 - Living Together - (On Letting Go) 11:14 - Rites Of Investiture - (The Amulet) 15:51 - In Fear And Faith - (Juturna) 19:12 - Stop The Fucking Car - (Juturna) 24:55 - Drift - (A Dream About Love) 29:37 - Child Of The Desert - (Descensus) 34:42 - The Difference Between Medicine And Poison Is In The Dose - (On Letting Go) 39:52 - Get Out - (Blue Sky Noise)
my theories are theyll play alot of newer stuff because the vocals are easier to do live and or they will have different/reworked versions of songs cant wait to see videos of them live again
