"Circa Survive is like the best thing that ever happened to me and I love it more than anything. And I always want to celebrate it and I always will. And you know, it's weird situation because you know what I want more than anything is for us all just to be friends with each other... since then I've been talking to everybody... I don't know if the band is ever going to do anything ever again, and even if it did it wouldn't be the same. It just wouldn't. Sometimes it's hard, you know, because you want to give people what they want. You want to do stuff like that but it's not at your [assume he was going to say under his control]... And I'm a people pleaser so I always want to give people what they want... It should be celebrated, you know what I'm saying? I'm always down. Always down. Always ready."

Yes, earlier in the pod he called it a break up instead of a hiatus, but he also later says he always wanted to be in a band that breaks up and gets back together.

How anyone listened to the podcast and didn't come away with a little hope it beyond me. The man clearly loves this band and to me he pretty clearly wanted it to happen.

Its just kinda funny how recently it was, and to assume at that point if theyre playing shows soon the conversations were happening and bookings were already probably being discussed lol

I won a contest once to hang out with the band in the green room at the Metro and Anthony definitely put my friend's chunky necklace in his mouth repeatedly.

I guess not actually. There is a vinyl and it is on Youtube and probably the Patreon but not streaming services.

It was originally a paid livestream and fun fact, they dropped Imposter Syndrome as a surprise at the end.

Wonder how the fest feels about not being the first "Reunion" show. (also I don't care just think it's funny.)

No idea but I hate when bands do this if a tour is going to come in the future. It's like when bands announce red rocks shows, or special venues before the tour. It drives up demand and cost as people think it's a one off, then they drop the tour a month later and a lot of people regret paying what they paid.

If Circa drops a normal tour later in the year or even spring, then it's going to feel kind of shady in my opinion. If it's a true, lets see how it goes before committing to more, then fine, but I hate when bands create a false level of 'specialness' by trickling out shows. Just irks me.

Also salty I can't make either of these shows anyway lol

    Also, caught Circa 6 times

Separating this one as it's a wild line up and a real throwback of great bands.

  22. It makes me sad that Violent Waves is so divisive between fans (although I understand Anthony not having the best opinion of it considering his condition at the time) because every time I revisit it, it's feels so clearly to me like one of their most exciting and unique records

With it being self produced, a lot of the songs feel bloated (obviously subjective). and something about the melody in Birth of The Economic Hitman really annoys me to where I really can't listen to that one. I love Anthony's voice, but something about that song is just so off to me.

It does have a few of my favorites in their catalogue like Brother Song and Bird Sounds but overall I guess I'm amongst the fans who consider it towards the bottom of what they've done.
