Highly recommend an instrumental discog run too while you're at it. Brendan and Colin are just a match made in heaven and you can really focus on their dynamic. Especially descensus. There is a lot going on in that record but the final muddy yip vocal mix drags it down. Brendan and Nick in particular are fucking dirty as hell on that thing
It's a dream of mine to one day be in a band with the same guitar chemistry Brendan and Colin had. The way they maintain that jammy feel and also have each note sounds intentionally placed is so inspirational. So often when writing music I get stuck with a part and going "what would Circa Survive play over this or that" help me unlock something. I really miss them
