The hypothetical album that could accompany this album cover in an alternate universe would be so good
can report back and say that he details the band break up in a very honest and transparent way too. It’s such a bummer but happy he’s in a better place now
He relapsed right before the Blue Sky Noise Anniversary tour after it had already been postponed due to the pandemic. Sounds like the guys didn't really know what to do with him or how to react at that point. It also sounds like he's been talking with some of the guys and is open to making or playing more music with them anytime, but also clarifies that it's a breakup and not a hiatus and that "it just wouldn't be the same." He's pretty honest about how much they've had to deal with and how often he waivered between holding himself accountable and not.
As much as I love Anthony, his stuff outside of Circa just never hit and it was that collective that made them so special. I will say that I found diminishing returns in the records upon each release, but have found gems since that make me go back to their whole discography pretty often. I guess his voice just doesn't hit as well for me when it's not part of the vibe that is Circa. I've learned to never say never, but I can't see a reunion happening which bums me out with all the nostalgia fest opportunities going on.

that part of the interview was so weird, like there was so much he couldnt bring himself to say. i think i saw him fighting back some tears. he also had alot of extremely nice things to say about his time in that band. i really wonder alot what happened. it probably wasnt one single issue. i also notice he explicitly failed to name drop Steve, when it comes to the story and his getting back into contact with the rest of the members.
this interview was incredible. such a candid view of him, unlike ive really ever been able to see before. really kinda rekindled something in my fandom. guy seems really funny and nice but also chaotic. his stories are cool and funny. everybody should listen.
Reminded me a lot of the one he did with the guys he went to high school with where he talked very openly about addiction and drugs and driving around high with them etc.

What a great interview so far. My new favorite little lore detail is Anthony saying that the second season of Lost inspired On Letting Go. I busted up laughing at that. I love that album sooo much.
The grip Lost had on scene bands is unparallelled. Thinking of Story Of The Year's The Constant and others I'm probably forgetting as well
i finally got around to watching Lost several years late in 2010 or 2011. i stopped giving a shit either end of s2 or mid s3 and dropped it. to this day i kinda get it but also feel like audiences were dastardly tricked into being too kind to that show. you never hear people or critics talk about it these days.
