I think we'll see them back in a few years after things settle down a bit.

Bummer for sure. I do like L.S. Dunes a lot, so hopefully AG continues with that.

Was there anything in the Patreon that wasn’t posted in the announcement?

Not surprising at this point, but it's still sad.

I'll always have my Juturna tattoo and the fond memories of seeing this band live and the friendships that revolved around them, but based on how the announcement has been made, I feel like there's some bad blood between members and it'll be hard for them to get together and make music again.

I'm going to be that guy and rank the whole catalogue and if this is all we ever get from them, here's their legacy in my humblest of opinions (from best to worst)

    1) Juturna (absolute classic, the dueling guitars on headphones just blow my mind even after hundreds of listens)
    2) On Letting Go (similar to the above)
    3) The Amulet (a return to almost form)
    4) Blue Sky Noise (loved it at the time, still go back to it a good bit but definitely lacks the guitar complexity of the first 2, especially with how it's mixed)
    5) Violent Waves (has a lot of good songs but they are also all overly long and the sound of this album is all over the place so it lacks cohesion - definitely can tell it's the self produced album where they didn't have anyone to reign them in).
    6) The 2 EP's as 1 whole (which is how it's going to be released next so that's why it's 1 whole) - This one will probably grow on me immensely. It already has and knowing it's probably the last, there's a bitter sweetness to it that will only add to it.
    7) Descensus (I just don't like how this album sounds - production wise - and it doesn't have too many memorable songs and the songs I like the most, EX Sovereign Circle don't seem to be popular ones)

Just came here after seeing it out there, I'm not surprised, but really sad nonetheless. Got so excited for that TSOAF EP first thing this week. Now this... What was odd to me was somebody stating in the comments "they knew when they saw everyone stopped following Anthony on twitter" or something - to me that's a bitter thought, I don't need anymore new music from them as much as I'd love to be at peace with them going away on good terms (although I did really love the new EPs by the way). I don't think I'm gonna see if it checks out now.

I was supposed to see them for the first time on the BSN anniversary tour after missing the OLG tour, so this is a real bummer for me. Not unexpected though, and I snagged LS Dunes tickets before they sold out, so I’m counting my blessings.

Eh I’m not really concerned. AG has so many active projects right now . Like others said they need some rest and personal healing then I’m sure they’ll be back.

Weird you say that, as I just checked and it looks like Brendan has stopped following Anthony on Insta. Anthony follows all of the others, and all of the others follow Anthony.

Definitely sad to see it go this way. Anthony is riding high, and the other guys obviously saw a huge lost big pay day with the BSN tour getting cancelled. Hope they're okay. I saw Brendan was playing a local show in a Misfits covers band. I don't know how he makes money otherwise, so hope he's doing alright.

I'd be surprised if Colin and Anthony fell out though, and they were obviously the two core guys at the start.

Thanks for checking that - I didn't find the energy to risk getting more bitter about it - I only saw that comment of fb and I'm glad that person was (mostly) wrong

Also, this makes sense. The band needs to both feel and sound rejuvenated if they’re to ever come back.

For me personally, this band has been on a downward trajectory post BSN so I’m not bummed but I do hope the guys get back together a few years down the road.

It's midnight here already and I've already listened to Juturna and now listening to Two Conversations (let's put it this way), actually wanting to cry about it a bit hahh. I'll be going through one older vs. one newer up until I finish up with VW if I'm counting it correctly. I'll get back to the other EPs some other night.
