I know this isn’t the official Circa thread but since it’s the most active... Last year, after going through a pretty shitty breakup, the lyric “you are in my dreams. half human, half machine” brought on a whole new meaning to me and paints such vivid imagery. I love that line so much. It’s almost too real *shudders* Edit: i'm sure this song/lyric can mean myriad of things to different people but to me it's a very stark image
"I don't want to feel like this ever ever ever ever ever again" "6AM, I'm thinking about how lonely I've been" lol
“God, money, and women will turn you mad Always reaching for something that you can't have God, money, and women will bring you down Always searching for something that's not been found” GOAT lol
If we're talking about unfavorable Circa lyrics here, I gotta say, I'm not crazy about Anthony's usage of "fucked" in the title track here. Have no problem with cursing and I still love the song but it never fails to briefly take me out of the listening experience. Just feels a little... gratuitous? I mean hey it's clearly the word he felt best applied, so whatever. Just feel like it kinda comes outta nowhere.
Always thought the lyrics to Lazarus and Nesting Dolls were great, especially Nesting Dolls given the context
Those lyrics from Lazarus comprise one of the most heart-wrenching moments in the band's discography "lmao"
That section of In the Morning is so good, even better when it's repeated in the bridge. I never clicked with Lazarus like everyone else.
I enjoy Lazarus, but I feel the same way about it. I've never loved it quite as much as everyone else here.
