That's interesting, outside of Medicine, I think Living Together is one of the catchiest choruses they've ever done, and "Distress call, code word is "I wanna live"" is one of the most identifiable lines in their discog too.

That was hard. Top 3 are probably interchangeable

In the Mornings half human half machine verse is a top Circa moment for me. The atmosphere and vocal delivery and lyrics there are beautiful and heartbreaking.

edit: also agree with the half human half machine part.. the way that part pops back into the chorus

 

Holding someone's hair back is such a perfect opener, and obviously act appalled is a great track 2

 

I'm going to start a discography run today, so count me in for posting thoughts about that. I'll probably do one post for each album.

I think juturna is my favorite because each song is so distinct, they're figuring out a vibe and trying so many things and they're working so well to make a unique sound, it's a pure recording of discovery in a lot of ways. Wish resign into nosebleed is a great transition too

 

I think great golden baby, or at least the Juturna demo, was at a point my favorite but it's soured a bit on me, there's so many good songs here in a row

I got to that bridge when it all kicks back in and I take it all back

 

The first (and only) time I saw them back in 07/08 he stuck the mic up to his throat and belted that 2nd verse and I've loved it ever since

 

Stop the fuckin car is so intense, that drumming is insane

And a great example of a hook both catchy and complicated, very hard to pull off

Let the record show @teebs41 was the one that inspired me to do it. Circa discog runs are the perfect amount to do in a day. It's a lot, but I felt accomplished after doing it in a day, haha.

 

Stay is such a catchy song. I had that stuck in my head a lot yesterday.

 

We're all thieves, oh hello, always getting what you want are all good, but I'd put them near the bottom if ranking this album song by song. There are just so many home runs, those are like doubles.

 

I'm very odd and don't really like TGGB, Stop the Car, and Always Getting what you want, but We're All Thieves clicked with like it never has before during my discog run. That's a great song. Oh, Hello was one of my initial favorites when i first listened to this as a kid, so i have a soft spot for it.
