I’m in the same boat. Would have loved an outro that maybe tied into the lustration intro a bit better. Really like book end openers and closers.
I like that it blows up and is over. Maybe it's just the video, but it really does feel like watching fireworks.
I tweeted at Anthony and Brendan asking if they'd switch up their setlists a bit when they hit the same city twice and they said yes so I'll probably be at both Philly dates
really good, easily the best since BSN, seems like it's growing on everyone to possibly be better than that. Definitely a grower.
I wish I liked this band more than I do. I respect them, and I think they're all super talented but sadly I only truly love BSN. I also think Descensus is a really great record and I enjoy a couple other songs (The Difference Between Medicine...) but they've never clicked for me in the way they have for most their fans
I bought OLG the day it came out and only REALLY clicked with most of the discog earlier this year, so if you want to keep giving them chances, it's possible it could click with you on down the road.
I think if BSN is your absolute favorite. There other records would be hard to get into. Outside of my opinions on BSN, I think it stands out as a pretty singular sounding album within their discog.
Yeah, there's definitely Circa fans, and then BSN fans. Some circa fans cite BSN as the best, but there's lots of people who only really like BSN too.
Didn't ask, but someone on here said that ticketmaster listed Circa as the headliner for the first Philly show and Thrice for the second
Something about the vulnerability in At Night It Gets Worse feels like new territory. Like it's a debut of sorts. Truly beautiful.
I think that’s reflected in the title. Oozes vulnerability and it’s probably already my favorite song title by them.
On my 5th listen, still forming my thoughts (which I know you're all dying for). One thing I will say is: I don't give a shit what the lyric booklet says, the opening line of Rites is "feeding children rice" and I will not be told differently.
That's honestly pretty cool. Never expected to hear Anthony singing over something like that, and for him and Avril to be featured on the same song.
Idk what genre that is really. The whole thing is weird but cool. I always thought Anthony could crush it on some Guetta esque EDM tracks.
Going through the whole discography this morning. It's honestly hard for me to get through Juturna without skipping anything these days. OLG is just a masterpiece though. "In The Morning..." through "The Difference...." is a stupid good run of songs It FINALLY feels like fall in Michigan so it's a good day to be doing this.
I LOVE Living Together. It could easily be included I just find it a TAD less catchy than the 3 that follow. The hooks on this record are just out of control great
