guess I'm seeing Circa Headline. cool. Now I gotta convince my Fiancee that she likes Circa bc she LOVES thrice she will be disappointed
I'm going to the Saturday date but I'm debating going to both nights actually. Both bands have lengthy discographies at this point that I imagine they'll switch it up a bit on double nights like in Philly.
About to dive into The Amulet. Haven't listened to an album in full since BSN but I love all 3 of the first records
Yeah if you can afford it i would def go to both nights. I mean its such a good lineup and both of their back catalogs are so extensive that it's well worth it imo. I'm just grateful that they added a Montreal date and I get to catch this tour. So stoked for it. Crazy that I am almost just as much as the BN tour!
Just about done giving this album another listen and I'm really feeling it at this point. Never Tell A Soul is a jam and, if I can put my @teebs41 hat on for a sec, the time signature changes in Premonition Of The Hex are so smooth, especially that transition from 7 to 8 just before going into the chorus. That song is a highlight for me at this point. Such a fantastic groove and I love how psychedelic and atmospheric the guitarwork is on that song. And Anthony crushes that song vocally, especially the part when he sings "YOU'RE DYING JUST TO BE THERE"
I've passed up on seeing Dtones because they were touring with Refused, a dumb decision but i want to see them with good support.
Just got done with Tunnel Vision.. I'd say the opening track is my favorite so far. The drumming is phenomenal here.
I'm Allentown Pa, so Philly is where I go for shows and I can get there in an hour. Also I'm at that stage in life where Beggars beats out Vheissu as the best Thrice record. M/m is great but not that fun to listen to.
For what's it's worth, here are the two setlists I got when I went to both Philly dates in 2014: Night one Night two
I've seen Circa plenty of time, but I still have never seen them playing Semi-Constructive Criticism live. I hope that changes in this upcoming tour
I like Thrice but I don't feel like seeing them live is really anything that special. Really, reeeeeally hoping Circa headlines my date... though I'm not that optimistic about it actually happening.
I'm trying to see every song that Circa has ever officially released and also played live. I'm doing quite well actually.
This may be incredibly premature but this may end up being my favorite Circa album. It’s just grown on me more and more with each listen.
I feel the same. I definitely enjoy more than all the other ones currently, but the new shine is still on it.
