I've only had time to listen to this through a couple times but I'm loving what I've heard so far. The Hex & At Night it Gets worse might be my favorite songs here and all the pre-release tracks are improved a bunch in context

 

This album definitely has memorable melodies. I've had Premonition Of The Hex stuck in my head for a week or two now. Anthony crushes it on Tunnel Vision too, especially in the outro. And he's fantastic on the last two songs as well.

 

god damn those last three songs are such a perfect stretch

 

I think the 5 song stretch from Never Tell A Soul to Stay is pretty damn great

 

Yeah the middle stretch of this record owns. Honestly it's only Lustration and the last two tracks that make me question whether it belongs well above BSN.

 

Lustration might be my favourite song on here and the last two are fantastic too.

 

the guitars in Lustration's chorus sound soo OLG. they're all winding and psychedelic

I've been liking that track more

 

That's the song that's grown on me the most.

 

This is almost as catchy vocally as BSN, by fair their catchiest album.

 

First chorus in Lustration and bridge in Never Tell A Soul are two moments that immediately stood out to me as being vintage Circa

I'm just so surprised at this record. Love this band and at least like all of their records but I didn't think they had something like this in them anymore

 

people are talking about the best stretches are basically either saying the beginning up to stay, then saying the hex on, which is basically saying that Rites of Investiture is the only weak point, haha.

 

Which is wrong because Rites rules.

 

It pretty much is for me although I still enjoy it. I don't think there's anything truly bad or weak on here.

 

Honestly tracks 5, 6, and 8 are my least favs right but probably because I've listened to them the least on account of them not coming up on shuffle as much.

 

I really hope they play this front to back for this upcoming tour

It feels appropriate. Album seems to be getting an extremely positive response everywhere I look on the internet.

truth be told this has grown on me a good bit also. its catchy and more rock-ish than I was expecting. now that the lyrics are up on genius i can really dig into the themes

 

Yes, this would be perfect. Good length to have a few other songs as the encore too!

 

That's funny becauae Lustration and the last two tracks are my favorites on the album haha

 

Am I the only one thinking this is the easiest Circa to listen all the way through? I think it has something to do with the production.
