I am having an existential crisis over whether or not to listen to the leak. Hahahah I bought the most expensive pre-order bundle, so I don't know if I can morally justify my first listen being a leak. But I also really want to hear this. Shit

I think I saw it's 320, so I'm not worried about quality. Haha I feel like I'm supposed to wait and play it on vinyl though because of how much I spent. I'm poor as shit so I feel almost obligated to enjoy it as originally intended. I make no sense I'm sorry. Hahaha

 

I really do wonder how they left in that "catacombs mic popping" like... its real obvious and such an easy fix in the studio. doesn't ruin the song or album or anything but it does take you out of it for a second

 

makes plenty of sense, have you avoided the singles?

exceeded my expectations a lot

 

I listened to Lustration a bunch, but have limited myself to one play through of the others. I usually forget what songs are like until I've heard them a good few times, so it'll still be like hearing all new songs when I play through. (Guessing I have memory problems of sorts)

 

I knew you would really like it. I do feel that this album is the absolute best the band can do right now. they poured a lot into it

 

tunnel vision really effs with my head with all of the time changes 5 to 5 alternating with 6 to 6

I think its really unique in their discography.. it never gets heavy but doesn't feel like a slow or soft song.

im still surprised as to how catchy a lot of these songs are. some of them really just rock out. i like that

the latter reminds me of Wish Resign a little which is my fav Circa track

 

At night it gets worse is a really cool track too, on that one now. Might be one of the ones that needs to grow on me more, but when that guitar comes in with tons of delay, it sounds incredible.

It might be their best track. Can't believe I'm saying that. It left a hell of a first impression on me

 

the guitars on Stay are so freakin cool

 

what headphones do you have btw i cant remember what mine are but theyre studio headphones. over the ear style, very comfortable and very nice.

also got some skullcandies for when im out and about, theyre also very good for earbuds

Premonition is fucking amazing... shits all over the three singles and almost everything they've done since OLG. I can't believe the people with the advance were talking like it's just OK lol.

I'm up to track 5 and other than Lustration, it's like they finally untied the guy who actually knows how to write interesting melodies that went missing after OLG. I've enjoyed this band's whole career, but... wow, why did they ever move away from this type of songwriting again?

 

this really feels like an album for their longtime fans.. it takes patience its not immediate and while it has heavy moments its more focused on atmospheres and duel guitar work. I really like it after 2 listens, more than I thought I would.. no clue where it sits but it feels like a fresh take on their sound.

 

Sounds like I'm going to adore this. I'm shocked.
