Listening now and Never Tell a Soul is probably my favourite song by them since Blue Sky Noise and I haven't even finished it yet.
this is a strange song.. but I really love how all the guitars drop out and we get drums bass and vocals
this is my least favorite song I've heard from the record so far, but I'm wondering if this will be a grower and it will just take a while to get used to the 7/4 feel and the different atmosphere on here.
I think I can safely say this is the best Anthony has sounded since Blue Sky Noise. not saying I like it more or less but just from a vocal production/performance.. theres stuff on here that vocally reminds me of Juturna which is really effing cool
This will have to grow on me. Songs that are longer than 4.5 minutes lost me. Never Tell a Soul and Rites of Investiture are what I was hoping more of from this release. Other songs aren't bad, I just gotta give them some time.
I'm a bit more than halfway through and agree. but there are moments in every song where I'm like oh wow thats awesome.
the two hex songs have me wondering if lyrically the album is connected somehow. but idk not really catching much thematically on a first listen.
@Your Milkshake i think you will absolutely love this record, the guitar work and experimentation is everything you wanted up to prerelease. It's going to take a little bit for me to grasp onto this but I think it's really good after one listen.
Well I've only heard Never Tell A Soul and Premonition so far but these are their best songs since 2007 imo so
