Wonderful! They add a really satisfying and powerful outro to the end of the song that might be the best single moment of the set. It honestly comes close to ruining the album version for me.
I really hope the keep it for their Thrice tour set. I love when they let their love sound breather and Anthony really croons
They had that outro when I saw them in 2015. From talking with Nick earlier this year, it seems that's they'll always play it. He says he wished they recorded it like that haha
God the show last night was so fucking good. I don't plan on missing a show of theirs ever again but I have a hard time imagining being at a better Circa show than last night. The breakdown in Child of the Desert may have been my favorite live moment I've ever experienced, Anthony was flawless
Jamming lustration right now and god damn this song has grown on me. Has such a great groove from start to finish.
Both singles are so good, I played them for a buddy and he said this sounds like their best material in years
how are you feeling about the album at this point? any different/new thoughts? make jason do a track by track of it on the podcast
"At Night It Gets Worse" reminds me so much of Juturna. im really enjoying this so far. im getting hints of VW with much better production and some Juturna but its got some new tricks to bring to the table as well. specifically Anthony, the lyrics are a little darker and there seems to be some political commentary on some tracks. theres a couple straight up rock songs on here with some trademark Circa guitarwork that are really exciting
sounds like Premonitions Of The Hex and The Hex have little electronic flourishes going on but maybe its because I'm not listening through headphones right now. They both have a similar structure but I'm guessing their relationship is more lyrical and I havent really delved too deep into those yet.
It's gotten better with each listen to where I think this is right up there with the band's first two albums
