I feel that way about the last two Thrice albums and the stuff before Vheissu. Just not my thing at all really.
Surely as far as Thrice goes, The Artist In The Amublance is so accessible, it seems kinda weird to suggest anyone can't get into them. I've trailed off on some of their releases, but they just seem like one of the bands in this scene that really don't need a whole lot of time to get into.
I bought pre-sale general on Tuesday through Thrice sound rink. Had to go will call though. The presale that went live today on TicketMaster should be general. The VIP sale for most dates went up immediately with the announcement
For me, the presale was exclusive to the mobile app. But downloading the mobile app also got me a $20 discount so I'm not complaining. haha Spent about $200 on this tour already.
I somehow went off the Thrice twitter link. Then hit tickets for the San Jose date...and it took me to sound rink and let me buy. I think it was like $35 a ticket / will call. Not sure how I got them 2-3 days early, but Im happy about it
idk about this in 2017, artist is dated as hell in terms of sound. their albums that dont sound dated (beggars and alchemy) arent as accessible. their most recent is very accessible but its kind of in a narrow lane of rock music that i can understand people not digging. i love it though.
Awesome. Instagram stories wich they posted? I think this Next album Will be more slow, melodic, mellow... I loved productions from Brian mcterman.. lustration , and the amulet , sounds like his productions...
I think he sings finding perfection, in the first two albums (screams arent here, for example). I remember of "parnassianism literal school" here . But in BSN, he started his "freestyle sing", with different and new techniques. There is the fact his voice changed along the years too. I dont know, but i feel anthony's voice came back to "perfection", more mellow and with falsetto , that match with this.
Well, I just decided to bite the bullet and buy two VIP upgrades for their show in December for me and my girlfriend. Although my bank account is probably very unhappy with me right about now, I know it's going to be worth it.
I am too. I don't care if I overplay it. Because I will eventually overplay the album It's what I do with circa every time
On a HUGE Circa kick this week... all the studio albums, and I'm even gonna dig into B-sides/rarities which I haven't really done for this band before. What a great discography.
Listened to most of VW the other day for the first time in a year or two. I still land on it being a solidly enjoyable front-to-back listen if you're in the mood, but sorely lacking any tracks that qualify as high points of their career. Just lots of good to really good tracks and a few mediocre ones.
After revisiting it myself it's better than I remember but I think I only put suitcase, lottery, and bird sounds with their best. A handful of others are quite good but those 3 are clear tops for me.
