Also bummed I have to wait for 2 more months.

 

That would be sick if they start selling it early at shows again

 

I'd really like to see how the sales numbers breakdown.
My guess is like 60% -preorder, 30% on tour, 10% in store.

Does anyone have any knowledge around the breakdown for a band of this size?

I wonder if any of these songs are the "chill ambient album material" that Anthony has said more than once they have been working on intermittently after VW and immediately after Descensus. Always thought it was weird reading about that.

Descensus, even though released in November, is a very Spring/summer album for me. I'm thinking because I can remember their Coachella performance so well from the live stream and I saw them tour it around that time too.

So I'm cool with a fall/winter Circa album.

 

juturna is the ultimate winter circa album, and OLG was the summer one. everything else falls somewhere in between.

 

OLG feels Spring

 

the front half of the record feels spring-esque.

Kicking your crosses thru closer feels more fall

 

Descensus is very much a winter album for me, mostly because of when it was released.

That was a cold-ass winter here and I was training for a spring marathon. Listened to that album many a time on a frozen run.

 

i guess i associate it with summer since i live in alabama and we only have two seasons. summer and winter.

 

Saw them headline in Richmond Sunday. Lazarus into Nesting Doll w that extended outro...good god

Sputnikmusic! @beachdude42 does as well. its a very "loose" site in terms of like mods/staff goes but we're "contributors" so we can put in requests for reviews and stuff.

yeah you probably can. getting up with the mods/staff/site owner is a pain but its possible

nah they'll send out a watermarked stream/download probably so if it were to leak someone would be in big trouble

 

How far off are we from bands being able to send out something like that to fans who preorder the album as a reward? I think that would be pretty cool, if they can make it so it truly wouldn't leak... I'm sure music writers are more trusting than random fans. The tech would have to be really solid

 

yeah that could be cool but theres always that chance of it leaking. even if its watermarked theres still a chance. a lot of times they send out streams which are much harder to rip
