Probably because premonition means before and the hex is part of the same storyline as premonition wow I'm realizing a lot today
I would agree which is why I thought it was shortened because the hex landed higher on mine for some reason
my top 4 is: House of Leaves At Night It Gets Worse Wish Resign The Glorious Nosebleed thats all I know. yall are cray to rank every single song lol

imo their last two are pretty clearly their best, and it comes down to anthony and his sobriety. the band's music has always been good and while i love the instrumentation, idk if the last two are really that much better, but everything about anthony's voice and lyrics are so much improved from the early stuff on each of the last two. idk what else to attribute it to, but he definitely seems to have reached a level of clarity that has made for the band's best work.
his vocal performance on Amulet is by far his best since Blue Sky Noise and The Ocean and the Sun. Its phenomenal. you got that right.
my biggest problem with violent waves these days is how weak his voice is throughout, you can tell he was really really fucked up when you listen back
I think Descensus is my favorite Anthony album, vocally speaking. Nothing wrong with him the other albums but he really hits the spot on Descensus imo
I think Anthony lends himself really well to the the VW songs, but it’s the production that lacks a punch. The melodies definitely aren’t his most creative either
I just really dont like Descensus and esp his voice on it. Wish I did. I listened to it again the other day. I like Sovereign Circle. I dont like BSN just a whole lot but his voice is incredible on it.
most of the vocal melodies on Violent Waves, especially the back half of the record, just kinda go all around without ever going anywhere interesting imo
the production absolutely contributes to Anthony sounding weak but his voice is also clearly pretty weak on the album regardless of production. anthony would tell you the same thing.
i was going through setlists of shows ive seen earlier and totally forgot they were playing economic hit man as a new song in fall 2011
