I'm a recovering heroin and other substances addict and yeah I've hurt people but it's not even close to what's going on with sexual assault in the community, which wasn't what was said but kind of implied
Has anyone itt done the VIP stuff on this tour? If so, when did you get the email that told you what time to get to the venue and whatnot? I haven’t gotten anything yet, and my show is a week from Sunday.
I didn't do VIP this time around, but I've done them twice before and I'm pretty sure I got my email within the week before my show
Cool. I’ll probably try to email ShowStubs if I don’t hear anything by Wednesday. Thanks! Enjoy the show tonight!
James coming out and losing his mind on stage during Premonition Of The Hex is easily the highlight of the night
Totally. Is it just me or did it feel a few songs too short? Like we definitely should have heard the title track from this record and another one. Seemed weird.
They used to play 15 songs earlier on the tour and Thrice used to play 17. Now they're both playing 13 and 15 respectively. My guess is they used to be playing for 1:15, but now they're only playing for just an hour.
Here was their setlist last night as the closing band: Child Of The Desert Glass Arrows Lustration Strange Terrain Sharp Practice Rites Of Investiture Tunnel Vision In Fear And Faith Stop The Fuckin' Car Premonition Of The Hex Frozen Creek The Difference Between... Get Out
I'm going again tonight so I'm excited to see how they switch it up. Would love to see At Night, Flesh And Bone, and/or The Amulet.
its funny reading my old posts when i initially got the press stream for this album. its grown on me a lot since then. Circa Survive are the kind of band that could keep releasing these kinds of albums for another 10 years and id be fine with it
I feel like since they're not a band that necessarily makes BIG changes every album the first impressions can be hard to go by, since it takes longer than a handful of listens to really find where a new album sits among their other albums and the ways in which it stands out. I'm not saying that they don't push themselves artistically because they definitely do, but I think they're one of those artists where first impressions can be deceiving (I've had this problem too).
If I'm totally honest with myself, I think now that some of the novelty wore off, The Amulet lands squarely at #4 for me... a hair below BSN. Not sure why it doesn't blow me away quite like it did the rest of the "Juturna/OLG forever" crowd here. It's really good, but I moved on from it after a few weeks and only about half the tracklist still interests me a lot. Production definitely doesn't help. Still fantastic for LP6 from any band, though.
as often as you post this i feel like youre trying to convince yourself of this moreso than the rest of us lol
