Well I hope you come around on the new one. I’d like to see this album rally there whole fan base again. Seems like the last few have been pretty split reaction.
It's definitely more proggy than BSN, but I think the aggression amd heavy nature on Descensus is similar to BSN in certain ways
Seems to be a pretty strong indicator online fwiw I'd be curious about their ticket sales for Descensus and VW era. Think they already came out and said the Juturna and OLG anniversary tour sales dwarfed them.
Yeah I guess I always see them at the same venues in the Bay Area. So my reference point is prob a bit off. The anniversary tours definitely had way better energy though from the crowds.
What a treat to watch. That rendition of Lustration was beautiful. Also really liked how Anthony tied Descensus and The Amulet together.
At night it gets worse is maybe my favorite AG performance ever. Song is so god damn emotional. Can't wait for this show in San Jose tmrw!
Best I’ve ever seen him. Thought sharp practice ripped. Liked Rites so much more live. Amulet seemed like it needed some kinks worked out.
Yeah Sharp Practice, and Frozen Creek Me, and my friend agree were so good. Glad they played those. The Amulet I’m surprised they didnt turn it into a jam sesh kinda like how they did with some of the other songs last night.
They opened with it, and it was so good. I’m actually not crazy about it on record, but it’s wayyyy heavier live.
I’m actually not sure since I’m only familiar with the album version. Maybe @Transient_Hymn could tell you
In order I think: Rites Glass Arrows The Great Glorious Lustration Child of the Desert Strange Terrain Premonition of the Hex Sharp Practice Tunnel Vision Wish Resign The Difference Between The Amulet In Fear and Faith Frozen Creek Get Out I feel like I’m missing one Edit: Stop the Fucking Car
Definitely thought Rites would be the opener in this tour so it's cool to see it there. Very pumped to see Premonition Of The Hex, Tunnel Vision, and The Amulet.
great setlist, but Stay seems like a better choice than Tunnel Vision this early on in the album cycle.
