i like Love Is Dead quite a bit, but i'd easily rank EOE above it. probably tie it with Bones. they don't have a single bad album.
it was fun to see it have a mini resurgence a couple years ago when they put Clearest Blue in Heartstopper
Screen Violence is easily their best as far as I’m concerned. Feels like the most fully realized version of their sound and songwriting, and also the most successful as a start to finish album experience. I was bouncing around some of their stuff the other day, and I still think Love is Dead is a bit underrated. And also, Lauren’s solo album deserves a lot more love.
Yeah, Screen Violence is my favourite, with Every Open Eye a close second. All four have some really great stuff though, the other two are just a little less consistent.
tracklist: 1. Atmosphere 2. Fluoxetine 3. Pray 4. Speak 5. Sing 6. Saved 7. Cursed 8. Creatures 9. Ddust Fluoxetine is out now and it's really fucking good
I didn't even know about Ian's side project until The Leaving became a thing and I saw it mentioned in an article, I checked out their two EPs and honestly they're really good! You can tell that the DNA has a lot of CHVRCHES-isms, but it's entirely it's own thing. Somewhere in the same world that fred again.. or Jamie xx land musically
