Halsey doing the emo version of Taylor’s 1989 guest song covers was not on my bingo card but I’m for it.
i realized today that the vocal effect on this Alison Wonderland track reminds me of Lauren's vocals. anyone else hear it?
How trauma and friendship launched Chvrches side-project The Leaving: "This was always supposed to happen"
So the leaving album is done done but CHV5 is 90%. That last 10% can be a doozy; might be towards the end of the year if it’s this year at all depending on what the label wants to do. But I like what Martin said about it.
fuck, Vicious Creature is still such a fantastic record. if the new CHVRCHES album sounds anything like it or Screen Violence, it could easily be their best record. revisiting it now has the same effect that hearing Hayley Williams's EDAABP did when i first heard it. whatever it is with singers from well-known alternative bands releasing their best material outside of the soundscapes/expectations of their primary groups, i'm all for it.
i like all of their albums, but Love Is Dead was a bit of a step down for a lot of people. Screen Violence felt like they really nailed down all the good elements of their previous albums. i feel that way about Copeland though, haha
