SV is easily my favorite from them and got me interested in them again after LID lost me a bit and I didn’t return to Bones or EOE much over time.
I’ll never relate to the seeming unpopularity of Love is Dead. So many really good tracks on that thing.
Just didn’t find it to be particularly memorable at all after a few listens to it because the songs were not as good as ones on their first two, that’s all
Lauren solo tour coming up. Not sure if it’s an entire project or she’ll be doing CHVRCHES stuff, but either way should be cool! https://laurenmayberry.co.uk/ruot/
I knew there wouldn’t be an Atlanta before I clicked it and I’m still disappointed. Excited to see what this is though lol
The Discord link on the website has a topic section called solo music, so I guess that settles that! Really hope I can snag tickets for Boston, excited to see what she’s doing.
Whoa. That’s unexpected. Wonder when she had time to work on solo material and/or who worked on it with her.
This cover is cool because thats on the Glasgow subway. Hope that would be an album cover and not just some promo shots. Just to add to the its a solo thing - Glasgow's local festival TRNSMT sent out a survey of artists that you'd like to see play and Lauren Mayberry was an option to choose - thought it was a mistake at the time but it would all link together with those tour dates being booked and the promoter being the same one who runs the festival. Curious what this would sound like.
