Song is amazing. Love the direction that they're going. People who hoped for a return to the earlier sound are not going to be happy.
I enjoy this but it doesn't blow my mind like it seems to be doing for some of you. There's something missing from those verses. Want to make it clear that I don't want them to retread old sounds--would much rather them explore new territory. This feels like it could've come from the last record. Man, IDK... I wish I liked it more but it almost feels like they're playing it safe, was really hoping for something new based on the promo aesthetic. Maybe it'll grow on me.
Chvrches Return With New Song “He Said She Said” “He Said She Said” was recorded almost entirely remotely on both sides of the Atlantic, with the band members working over Zoom and with audio-sharing software in order to collaborate.
Love Is Dead is my favorite of theirs, and I think this is great! It's a nice sensible and slight shift. Damn!
God I wanna give this more love because of who it is but...if this came up on my Discover I’d probably skip it after 30 seconds. Don’t like it at all. Almost irritating.
Like the song a lot, but the biggest problem here is that its going to get a massive boost in a live setting, and it's going to go off. But on record, there's justttttt not enough. Feels like they can't exactly nail down the same energy to tape
This is underwhelming. The vocal mixing bugs me, there's barely a hook, and I feel like it has the worst elements of Love Is Dead (like the repetitive chorus) mixed with their standard production. "Get Out" wasn't an exciting appetizer at the time either, so I hope the best is yet to come.
Triple A-Side, by Blue Sky Archives definitely check out "cosplay the hard way" and their "killing in the name" cover.
Really into it. Synths sound amazing, personally really digging the production all the way around. Chorus is huge and I prefer it to much of the last record (which I felt teetered a bit too much on trying to tap into mainstream elements). This feels more like something I’d expect them to make organically and I’m curious if they self produced this one. Also, love the structure of the song. I’ve been borderline obsessed with songs that don’t follow a VCVCBCC structure so it’s hitting me at the right time I suppose. Very excited for the album now.
