Based on the caption, it looks like this is just a single and not necessarily the lead up to a new album

 

but they do have plans for this year per the email we got

 

maybe a 10 year tour?

 

I like how they’re pitching it as “not as dark as screen violence” and then …those lyrics lol

Listened a few times down undah today, top notch track. Kind of like EOE+SV.

 

I'm liking it but it's definitely not on the level of SV for me. that's a big ask though, it's a good one-off single

 

I enjoy it. Kinda reminds me of Now Is Not the Time

 

It’s fine

 

They left Glassnote, signed with Island in the US and EMI in UK.

 

Pretty underwhelmed, and I loved SV.

It’s a fine single, a bit of a throwback. Wonder what the intention is behind releasing it.

Well that is some news....not sure if Island/EMI can do much more for them in terms of stature at this point but curious what they'll do next.

 

This track does nothing for me but Screen Violence was great. It feels like they're moving back into more generic territory stylistically with this though, imo.

 

I really like this song and I can see why it's a one-off. Feels like a classic CHVRCHES track, but not really in line with their recent stuff.

 

It feels like a song they'd throw on a soundtrack.

But while it's just kind of a decent song that I'm not even sure will make my random running mix, it doesn't give me much wariness for their new stuff. It's a one off, not tied to an album, just something they wanted to get out there.
