I saw them the other night in Denver. They've probably been my favorite band since Bones came out, so the fact that it's been so long before seeing them is crazy. I was planning on seeing them numerous times over the years, but somehow I was always out of town when they were here. They were incredible, not too much to mention besides that. The most fun show I've been to since I can't remember when. The fact that a 4K video of the show I was just at is already online is just a huge bonus.
So, I interviewed Lauren a few days before Halloween. The feature is going online in a few days and I really can’t wait to share it with you all
She’s online!! https://themusic.com.au/features/chvrches-falls-festival-heaps-good-interview/nciFsbCzsrU/17-11-22
oh shit oh fuck seriously though i wasn't expecting anything new for another year or 2 this is wild. wonder when they had time to write?
the one good thing about time moving faster and faster is now new album releases surprise me even if it's been like two years since the last album. Two years used to feel like forever.
the world was still half shut down when SV came out, there was downtime between finishing it and it’s release and tour
that's a good point. it also doesn't seem like it's been close to 2 years since SV but i guess it has haha
I remember some kind of insider leaking the Screen Violence title and tracklisting on reddit waaaaaaaay before that era started so I assume they must've been sitting on it for a while back then. Same insider also came back to tease this project one day before the band. Interesting.
Screen Violence was such a brilliant step forward for a band that was already on a roll. Very down for more.
