I think I like Good Girls even less in context of the whole album

 

far more enjoyable than their last album. some very strong hooks on this.

Well fuck me sideways, this is a MASSIVE bounce back. I didn’t even dislike Love Is Dead, but this has all the intensity and emotional investment that one was lacking for me. When the back half of “Asking for a Friend” washes over…chills. Just emotionally overwhelming.

 

Haven’t listened to an album by them for a while but thought I’d give this one a go. Thanks for convincing me - a worthwhile purchase! Really enjoying it so far.

 

I couldn’t even stay up for the stream. Hope it shows up somewhere!

 

Does anyone have an extra digital download of this available? For some reason the band’s discography has been removed from streaming and digital outlets in my country. And it’s gonna take a while for physical copies to reach me.

the new songs went especially hard live. hntd needs to be on the setlist forever. they nailed their killing moon cover too.

most importantly, the whole crowd losing it during the drop in clearest blue is a feeling ive dreamt about the whole pandemic. I’ll be thinking about this show for awhile.

Clearest Blue is what I’ve been needing throughout the pandemic and is the exact moment I’m waiting for.

 

the clearest blue drop at pitchfork the first time they played it in the states at least was soooo special

 

I was at that show in Central Park right after Every Open Eye released. It started raining right as the drop hit for Clearest Blue. You can watch it here.

I’ve always been a pretty casual fan of this band, but this is super good. Might be my favorite for them. This or EOE.

 

Ha I just came here to post something extremely similar. However I think I have even less exposure to them so this is blowing me away.

EOE is a masterclass,Screen Violence is great so far but it’s one of those albums that you need to hear the songs live to fully appreciate it. Pretty much what they were going for on the last one

 

they definitely nailed the vibe of soundtrack to a film that doesn't exist (yet?)
