Interview with Johnny, talks a bunch about Dear Tommy: Johnny Jewel of Chromatics Talks Surprise Solo Album and 'Dear Tommy' Delays: 'In My Dream Reality, I'd Release an Album a Day' "We’re releasing it this fall -- that’s the idea, unless I change my mind again." Also mentions that the tracklist has changed and that although the album has new versions of the tracks they previously released (and have since taken down) for the record, the old ones will be available again in some form.
Has anybody received / purchased the new EP? I just ordered the ivory repress but I’m so impatient to hear the tracks.
This album was announced in the year of our Lord two thousand fourteen. What are the odds they release an album in the year of our Lord two thousand nineteen?
Like I get Johnny is a perfectionist but damn, they been hyping this release since the spring and it’s still not out.
oooh, a track from the original dear tommy tracklist too fuck yes at the tour, please let this mean the album is actually coming out...
When was the last time this band toured the country? Dang. They're unsurprisingly not coming near me; as a Western PA resident who doesn't really travel for concerts, I accepted long ago that I'd probably never see 'em. But, I'm still excited at the activity. With the way they repost songs on YouTube, I legit forget which songs I have & haven't heard. But, at least that means this album, should it come out this year, will still be pretty fresh to me after all these years.
this album’s “rollout” (if you can even call it that) has been so weird like, what is going on... how many albums is Johnny scrapping or...
I wish this was longer, really into it. Also now that they’ve been on tour for a while can we talk about how no Black Walls on the setlist is a huge bummer
