I have no delusions of this being a top notch album from her, but I'm hoping for mostly great songs if just as proof that she hasn't totally lost her way and I don't have to throw the towel in on her
Tbh I wouldn't even say I like absolutely hated any songs off Lotus even tho i found it uninspired, but the audio/production is trash and cheapens the entire record. Your Body was amazing tho and I'll be 4ever bitter she only performed it live like once and it was with office supplies. I don't think it'd take much for her to do well again. She needs to reign her voice in tho and some of her last few songs (say something, shotgun, anywhere but here, etc) seemed to be going in a more subdued direction but I don't trust her at all lol. Even like one great live performance could put her back on track but she refuses to just sing the songs and always blows it. Like sis just serve me Lift Me Up at Hope for Haiti But of course I will give her all the chances and she will probably continue to destroy my life

I can't even say I'm cautiously optimistic I'm like cautiously terrified lol. Lotus had some ok songs but it was so uninspired and sounded like it was recorded in a hole. With her toned down image and the success of Adele and her Say Something collab and everything I thought she might strip things down a bit. But then she is also doing things that make me doubt she will. Idk!!! Basically at this point I don't even care if the album sucks, sis just needs to play shows not for billionaires and for us normal plebs.
I'm not even confident she'll ever play a show in New York which is crazy, that's the whole point of living by one of the biggest cities
She may be the road trip I'm looking for if she has an actual show somewhere one day but knowing her I'm not gonna bank on anything lol
Some of her posts have been creeping me out. The weird milk licking one and the one that sounds like a creepy ghost girl whispering!! Her rumored collab with Ty Dolla $ign and 2Chainz makes me nervous. I just dont want any desperate grabs at radio hits that sound how are you, fellow kids? I feel like her and Brit's team both don't know what to do with them anymore in that sense
She looks beautiful in the black and white shots with her hair down but she serves me mostly creepy close ups of her lip injections and tongue. She literally hates me and I know it. Song is forgettable not surprised there so I was at least hoping she'd serve me LOOKS but ok sis
