This is very good. "Either Way" and "Broken Halos" are right up there with the best stuff on Traveller.

The good news is that you guys should be hearing "Either Way" (which is the first single) pretty soon, and I think you'll both love it.

    The rivalry is back on

    Yesss very excited for this.

I hope there is at least one banger on this album like "Parachute", but that album title sounds like this is going to be more stripped down

"Second One to Know" shreds pretty hard. That's probably the closest thing this album has to a "banger."

The title is a reference to RCA Studio A, where the album was recorded, so it doesn't really indicate much of what the material actually sounds like. This one is a pretty even mix of ballads and more upbeat, bluesy stuff. It's a lot tighter than Traveller, which I like.

this is good. love how it teeters between nostalgia and triumph.

my main problem with traveller was that it kinda unspooled too much for my liking -- so i'm really looking forward to the the "tightness" of this one.

Another new track. This one is a Willie Nelson cover.

When I first heard "Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning", I was like... damn, this sounds like a classic Nashville song. Haha of course it's a Willie cover.

Haven't checked out the new stuff yet but gotta say I find Chris Stapleton to be boring as hell. I do really like the title track from his last revised but outside of that he is pretty middle of the road.

I think he's pretty much the best male vocalist in any genre right now, so I can't imagine being bored by that. But to each their own I guess.

Guy is like the Michael Bolton of country music and I mean no affront by that, there's no way that voice should come out of that guy and there's nothing boring about it. Then factor in that he's a fantastic musician and songwriter and he's a rare breed of entertainer indeed.

I'll back that up that I've never really been able to get into it. No matter how many times I've listened, he still just hasn't hooked me. And I am typically a fan of his type of music, and I'll even give anything with a Dan Wilson co-writing credit or a Dave Cobb producing credit a listen. I just haven't found my way in, I guess. Even his song with Morgane on Southern Family was my least favorite part of that album.
