Poltergeist II was fine I guess lol. Had some fun moments (and hilarious ones). A bit boring like Daniel mentioned earlier. Poltergeist III was pretty decent. Heather O'Rourke was very charming as Carol Anne and I thought it kinda hurt the film when she was gone for the second half. The uncle was cool. Some really awesome effects here and there too. I can see this becoming a comfort watch for me because it did feel pretty cozy.
Back to me! Going with the South Korean found footage film from 2018 Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum I watched this for the first time back in October and thought it was a lot of fun. It does take it's time getting to the scares but man, the last 30 minutes is probably the scariest shit I've seen in recent memory. Couldn't get it out of my head when I went to bed the next couple nights after seeing it. Hope it's effective for you guys too if you haven't seen it yet! It's on Tubi, Prime, Peacock, Plex. Take your pick lol
This one's been on my watchlist forever! Truly using this weekend into next week to catch up, lol. I promise.
Okay did Poltergiest, Poltergeist 2, and am now 25 minutes into the 3rd. Big Stranger Things vibes right now from the school Edit: I still have like 40 minutes left but I'm liking it a lot more than 2 so far. It's just sad watching this knowing how much tragedy has occurred up to this point and that Heather O Rourke will pass away later that same year :(
Okay finally got back around to finishing Poltergeist 3. Good stuff even if the end was a pretty big copout. More high rise horror!
Yup, Gonjiam is still a really fun time. The scares are so damn good. I think I'll sleep fine tonight lol
Watched a trailer and stoked for it. Looks like the Korean Grave Encounters. Hopefully can do it tomorrow night but realistically won’t get to it til the weekend
Want added to the list? @incognitojones is up today. I've got a bunch to catch up on, but I'm working on it, lol.
My watch list is a mile-long, BUT Joe Bob, these Chorus picks, and my new Vinegar Syndrome boxset are at the very top.
Looking to finish Gonjiam and watch JB tonight. Gotta say, the new format with single movies is much easier on me haha
I want to add that while the first one is a perfect, pure slasher, the second one is ridiculous in ways that never make any sense at all. Totally different experiences.
Definitely enjoy the sequel more for what it is, but I actually just watched this for the first time recently and it's pretty fun! I wish there was more mystery to the film, but I appreciate how breezy it is at nearly 70-minutes
