The premise of watching the Ring video in the Grudge house is absolutely perfect, the execution?? Not great. But I love the sillier elements.
Sadako vs Kayako was a fun time for sure. Not perfect like you said but I'm not mad about it. Some hilarious sound effects in there lol
I'm so bad at keeping up. Sorry @incognitojones I never watched Sadako vs Kayako. Maybe I'll try to do both films this week. Who am I kidding? I probably won't get around to either.
Yeah with a new baby it's gonna be a minute before I can get back to watching stuff but I don't have Netflix and I want to watch Sadako vs. Kayako so this gives me extra time!
I really fucked with I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. Somehow I didn’t know it was an Osgood Perkins film or I would have gotten to it a lot sooner. He does the slow burn stuff so well imo. Love how it felt like a visual novel (which makes sense given what the movie is about) here’s an Osgood ranking for funsies: The Blackcoat’s Daughter The Monkey Longlegs I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House Gretel & Hansel I’d say Monkey and Longlegs are interchangeable depending on my mood. Maybe Pretty Thing too lol. I like Gretel & Hansel but didn’t find it to be anything too special outside of the gorgeous cinematography. Gotta rewatch that one soon since it’s been a couple years. Maybe I’ll dig it more now
tI am good to keep it moving, I've found more time to watch stuff while the baby sleeps, but I don't want to be the sole decision maker if there's not much action in here Also, I think Gretel & Hansel might be my favorite Perkins, although I haven't seen The Monkey yet and I have a really good feeling about it based on my tastes.
I’ll be shocked if you don’t like The Monkey. should we wait til Friday for the next pick or tag them now?
What's the read on this thread? Is anyone else still following along? I sat this one out because I don't have Netflix, but I intend on fitting things in moving forward
