Yeah, I think multiple watches of this one are key. Period pieces can be tough for some people (myself included), but this just gets better-paced and more interested and closer to perfect with every watch. I agree with the love for Scrimshaw, one of the best child performances ever and the entire cast here puts in the work to really make you care about what the family is going through. Perhaps one of the only films where I genuinely believe the atmosphere is scarier than most of what we're shown on screen.
Who is up next? If they have something lined up, I’m down to move on. I’m also okay with letting The Witch remain another week.
His House was even more effective for me this time around. Such a well made movie imo. That reveal is just a gut punch
I was unable to watch because we don't have Netflix and my usual methods were unavailable :/ I've heard very good things, though
Hah, @ghostedaway offered the same and I appreciate you both very much, I think they cracked down on the password sharing based on location but you're both real ones for offering. As soon as the server I use is back up, I'll request it
Do you guys want a coming-of-age horror film that I haven't seen that is set in the 1950s, or an actual 1950s cult classic that I am hosting at a bar this week?
