I forgot about that whole thing it’s on Apple TV I believe. can watch it on Sling and a few other things but I don’t think it’s on any of the main streaming services. I can pick another if need be
ok so scratch that I’ll go with Pontypool you can watch it free right here: here’s the November trailer tho for anyone curious about it. can’t recommend it enough
Nice!! Appreciate the switch, did not know Pontypoil was available for free and it's been on my list for a loooong time
We technically have until tomorrow, but I did forget/thought this week was Jennifer's Body lol so I would be happy extending this pick for an additional week, I know a lot of folks were racing to finish their Gore-Us list for October
I don’t wanna give away too much but the film is more about the nature of our fears than anything else
I usually take a horror sabbatical during the holidays, so I think I'll bow out for a couple months and probably join back in around the new year. Have fun y'all!
Still need to go back and get to Pontypool. Unfortunate timing on that extension for it with the election week. I did do The Devil’s Bath however and what an excellently bleak period film. Truly unsettling and disturbing/depressing when you read into the real accounts of what it’s based on. It’s Austria’s selection for best international feature for the oscar’s tho! Would be super cool to see it make it all the way into the noms. I believe we’re back around to @Aaron Mook ?
I have every intention to get to Pontypool and The Devil's Bath, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to participate recently. Do people still want a pick from me? Happy to provide one, but also don't want to take that space from someone who has been contributing more often lately
Okay! If people don't mind, I'm happy to provide something. edit: taking my pick back lmao. I have a better one.
I recently completed my holiday watchlist, and no holiday season is complete without a watch of my favorite nonsensical film about the ghost of a samurai terrorizing a Wisconsin family at Christmas. My pick is BLOOD BEAT (1983), and this holiday staple is available on Tubi (as well as the Roku Channel and Plex I think). You guys are gonna love the VFX.
