I found this pretty effective. it maintained a sense of unease throughout. pretty cool for something made on a shoestring budget.
Yeah, and even if some of the acting is subpar (not their fault, they're non-actors), I think a lot of it feels really realistic in the way a family would react in that situation, the men going for their hunting rifles, etc. Feels very authentically rural America to me in that sense. Genuinely a little creepy at times too, at least imo.
Watched it recently, pretty interesting for what it is and a fun time. Im gonna try to make sure my next pick is free on YouTube whatever it is
Fun watch. It's hard to believe stuff like this existed a decade before The Blair Witch Project. It was really funny how eager everyone was to add details to the world and they're obviously not improvisers because some would negate it so quickly. That last shot was great, but I wish the aliens didn't have silly black suits on. I'm always going to be as, or more, interested in pop culture artifacts like this than actually well-made, effective horror films.
McPherson Tape was a fun enough watch for sure. I almost wish they didn't show the aliens at all (only their faces could have worked too). I have a lot of respect and appreciation for it.
I'm choosing the 1981 slasher Happy Birthday to Me Haven't seen this one but it's been on my list for a couple years now. Hoping for a fun time! On Tubi
I’ve made it through fifty five minutes of Happy Birthday to Me and I got exactly fifty five more to go. really enjoying it so far
Yeah I'm a little more than half way through. Enjoying it but it does feel a little long for a slasher. it's interesting though
I actually agree with all of that lol. Definitely a bit too long but when it went into batshit territory is when I liked it the most lol
Had it on while I was doing stuff around the house and was digging it. Going to try to finish tonight.
