  1. Keep it going probly. If it was up to me completely I'd say maybe a few weeks off and then go right back but I'm cool with keeping it going too

alright, now starting our 6th rotation of this club. we begin with...

    Montparnasse Musique - Archeology (2022)

adventurous, euphoric fusions of past and future pan-African sounds synthesized into electroacoustic dance music.

I was uncertain how to play this round--if I wanted to go with something that'd get in everybody's feels, or serve the multicultural bangers. I decided on the latter, also bc this album sparked my deeper interest in Afrofuturist music that I've been obsessed with lately.

something distinct about this album that I love is its joy. while much Congotronic/Afrofuturist music is utterly groundbreaking (thinking stuff like gqom, amapiano, mostly everything coming out from Nyege Nyege Tapes and Hakuna Kulala labels, the ingenious unheralded sounds coming from Kinshasa), so much of that is full of menace. this record however makes me smile through the whole thing. blast it loud and enjoy. I have lots to recommend if you find something to enjoy here.
