Yeah I think I am enjoying side 2 more as I go through it. Both great though, I know you've rec'ed him in the past and I believe I've listened to Good Dog Happy Man EDIT: Actually I've heard a couple and enjoyed them. In Line, I Have the Room Above Her, maybe Rambler? I like that cover so I might do that one next anyway.
Yeah he’s been one of my favs for a while. I wish I could remember exactly which but I’m fairly certain one of these fretboard journal solo takes blew my mind immediately upon hearing it and I never went back Other favs than this, good dog, blues for LA include Epistrophy, Valentine, Big Sur, I Have The Room Above Her, Blues Dream
love In Line I just finished both sides of this. Really beautiful, ambient yet groovy stuff. The last two tracks were probably my least fav but everything else hit the spot for me
Finished disc one. Absolutely loved it. Shenandoah was unbelievable. I know the pick is technically just disc one, but yeah I’m gonna let this one keep playing.
I really enjoyed this! I had to stop and pick up where I left off a few times but that didn’t even take away from the album. It was good for working, picking up after a wild 3 year old kid, doing dishes and just relaxing. Nice pick for sure! I really enjoyed I Heard It Through The Grapevine, and I normally don’t care for that song since I’ve heard it about 1000 times. Shenandoah was really great as most people mentioned already as well. If I have a chance I’ll definitely check out some oh his other albums.
Yeah, this is great. Good one ear bud whilst working music IMO, where you can just appreciate his guitar work. Not too technical that you can't concentrate but also not to boring that it washes over you. Really good stuff and not just because it's good to work too!
Really incredible guitar playing on this and I'm only two songs in. Listening on headphones and it is throwing me off a little bit with how hard right the bass is panned.
Disc one of this record was a really enjoyable listen! Pipe Down especially for me. Loved the Dylan cover as well. . Just incredible guitar work all over this to echo what everyone is saying. I will get to disc two later tonight
I'm going with Lianne La Havas - Blood for my pick. I fell in love with this album when it was released back in 2015. I remember listening to it so many times for the second half of that year. I unfortunately haven't delved too much into neo soul, which I believe is what her music falls under, but this album has a pretty decent range of sounds imo. Recently revisited the album and fell in love all over again. Won't be surprised if some of you are already a fan of this one.
