just finished the album up what a beautiful experience I almost certainly would’ve never had without this club
This is such a trip, i used to love this album and completely forgot about her. Even her name didn’t ring a bell. But as soon as the first song hit I was like oh shiiiitttt.
The Caroline Smith album is really good! She has a gorgeous voice. Loved the energy in Buy Me Something, that was really cool. Gonna be throwing this on a lot I think
This album is a delight so far. Really dig the lightly rumbling bass underneath. And the new Maxwell Stern single is actually excellent @troyplaysbass
This is a really nice listen. Her voice is spectacular and the production is really tight. Definitely going to be spinning this more.
Of the two I had in mind, I've opted for the weird one: my pick is Dream Sequins by Nmesh. Someone introduced me to Nmesh during the pandemic via his outstanding split with telepath, The Path to Lost Eden. I got acquainted with Dream Sequins shortly after. Put briefly, many albums are described as dreamlike but none of them capture the stitched-together strangeness of dreams like this record. Thick and hazy like a drone record but more; sample-heavy like a vaporwave record but with a much greater quality for composition and detail. Little moments -- I can only call them moments -- appear and then vanish as if they maybe never were, and these moments colour its hefty, blissful 80 minutes into my favourite hypnagogic record of all time.
