Can get behind a decent amount of it. I didn't like that Thrice album, Jimmy Eat World was only okay. Happy to see Jeff up there, baffled by how the Weeknd got so high.
Felt pretty certain Pinegrove would win this, definitely the most beloved album in this community. Actually surprised Bon Iver is higher than Goodness, thought that would be #2 for sure.
Wow, I didn't actually expect Pinegrove to hit #1 for the user list. It's definitely tops my list though so I can't complain. 7/30 of these are in my top 30 6 of the top 20 are in my top 20 2 of the top 10 are in my top 10 Pinegrove is the only one that reflects the exact spot on my list. Great year!
Pinegrove made it to #33 on my list, so I like the album a lot but it's definitely not #1 material for me.
I think I'm the only one that didn't love the PUP album. I thought it was fine, really liked a couple tracks, but on the whole I wasn't crazy about it.
pup album was fine, disappointed after the first two songs. relistened to it for the first time in a while, same thoughts surprised it wasn't here on here tbh lol
not to me, the thing i've realized after seeing several combined lists from people involved with this site is that generally that stuff that leans closer to what is considered expected for this site get higher positions because of more people having it on their lists, even if some records average much higher on people's lists. hence why the combined general user list was almost entirely pretty stereotypical white male emo/punk/alt rock stuff and things like beyonce and chance etc were lower than expected
While I didn't put it as my #1, I for one am glad Pinegrove got as much love as it did. And being an avid listener of Sirius XM's XMU station, glad they are spinning that as well. Expecting colossal things from them in the future.
