and something called mega evolutions that can change a pokemon's type so the pseudo dragon Gyarados can now transform from a Water/Flying pokemon to Water/Dark still not a dragon
Should we ban Galarian Darmanitan? Yes: @Jake W @zigbigwig @Fucking Dustin @CarpetElf @morgantayler No: Thoughs? @Laura @JRShoenberger @DerekIsAGooner @morgantayler @Garrett L. @Shrek @ikanacanyon @EmmanuelSCastle @maldoror @StepsInADance @thenewmatthewperry @Henry
Alternatively I suppose Gorilla Tactics as an ability could be banned but idk how much harder that'd be to enforce
Just want to add that it's considered too good for OU where everyone can use it, so it's definitely OP for us considering only one person can use it.
I really don't know enough about the 'mon to say if it should or shouldn't be. However, if it's even banned in OU then I'd be okay with banning it in our league if others thing we should.
i'm not opposed to this idea, because zen mode shenanigans can still happen and i'm always down for extra teambuilding options. BUT it might be more effort to check the ability/keep people from making a mistake, so i'd say keep it simple and just ban it.
I've had easier battles against it in random than select others, but I'm guessing that's a complete fluke, so I'm down to ban it if it makes Jake, Dustin, and Zig salivate at it's offensive power.
Remember that: 1. in Random its level is scaled to even out the meta 2. in Ubers the people using it are 10
haven't used/played against it either i looked at the stats + movepool, and it looked pretty powerful maybe a 4 but then Jake and Dustin looped me in on that ability, and that's when i lost it. 140 attack/95 speed is enough to consider it a terrifying offensive presence. the ability boosts the attack by x1.5, and you have the option of boosting that speed by x1.5 or adding a second x1.5 to attack using a choice item. and if that's not horrible enough, it learns U-Turn which means it can deal huge damage, switch out and position you to a good matchup
It speed ties Arcanine WITHOUT a scarf and learns Earthquake to threaten one of its biggest type weaknesses like wtf
Yeah you basically have to scarf a pokemon or set up to outspeed scarfed g-darmanitan. It's just too powerful.
What I imagined happening is people being like "nah we shouldn't ban it" then somehow zig picks #1 and we all fucking cower
if it doesn't end up being banned i feel like those who voted yes will probably first pick it because i would definitely do that to prove a point hahaha
Yeah. Let’s ban it. The point someone made that only one person can have it definitely makes sense in our positions.
